I feel I am a very knowledable and intelegent person who is intuned with what is going on in the world. I unfortunately do not have a lot of formal “higher education”. Would I still qualify to become a freemason?

Freemasonry is not interested in your educational level. The requirements to join are:

Male
Mature of age (18 some states, 21 some states)
Belief in God. (No atheist can petition Masonry)
Good moral character
Some states have a residency requirement (California requires the petitioner to live in California for 12 months, prior to petitioning)

If you meet these qualifications, then you may petition Freemasonry. We can help you find a lodge in your area of residence, and assist you in obtaining a petition.
