God bless you, Arbitragio, for that last reply. You already have an understanding of Masonic principles, for which I’m sure we can thank DeMolay. If you, and your friend, opt for the local lodge, they will have gained a treasure. I wish we could find 1,000 men like you. If scattered over the various jurisdictions of the USA, we would soon see Freemasonry prospering like it has never done before. Please keep us updated on your progress; we will all follow it with much interest and pleasure.

Thank you Bob for your insight and the answer I sought! I spoke with an associate of my firm today at lunch about this very topic. Turns out he has had an interest in the Lodge as well but didn’t know where to start… We had a long conversation about the Craft and the local Lodge. He was enthusiastic about joining our local Lodge – the one in disrepair.  It’s our community’s Lodge and the both of us have a fair amount of elbow grease left to assist in taking care of that building. Who knows, little bit of elbow grease and a makeover on the web site coupled with some spaghetti dinners – I think great things are on the horizon!
