During the opening of our lodge, the Secretary was asked for the location of the Treasurer. His answer, “Right over there!”

You should meet our sometime Tyler, Scott. There’s a reason we keep him outside ;)

The night of my MM after I had been raised I had the Bible, apron and a couple other things in my hands not to mention I was nervous excited. An Past Master asked to speak to the new Master Mason. He came up and extended his hand well everything hit the floor. I went to pick it up the WM asked someone to hold on to it for me. I laugh about it and hope I always do.

Good one!!

I don’t know if this would be categorized as “funny” but during my EA Deg., right before I took my obligation, I received what I desired most a little prematurely. My Guide attempted to fix the wardrobe malfunction, mistakenly covering my mouth instead. I thought to myself, “Maybe, they are trying to tell me something.”

Bro. “Big Mouth” ;)

Now that I’m Junior Deacon, Scotty delights in trying to get me flustered at the door. He’s been quite successful, too. A kind Junior Deacon from another lodge passed on a valuable piece of advice to me. He said, “when you open the door, close your eyes.”

I’m a rather slim person, and during my EA I heard it mentioned I “looked like a Holocaust victim”. Was trying as best I could not to crack a smile, and not to sound macabre but it was funny!

I wouldn’t recommend repeating that in MY lodge, nor would most consider it funny.  It would get real awkward real fast.

I guess I’m little bit late to the posts, anyway.

I saw this real story online.

One person was in his EA ceremony, where the WM is his actual Grandfather.

The WM asked him in the ceremony: “On whom do you put your trust?”

The answer was: “On you Grandpa!”

Yeap, he’s being frank! :)

I once visited a lodge in Virginia. On the secretary’s desk was a can of green peas, and another can of hominy grits. I asked why do you keep these cans on your desk. He answered, so that we can open the lodge in “Peas and Hominy”.
