My Grandfather was a Freemason, I never knew until upon his death I found what looked like a towel, or apron with the same symbol on it as his ring he wore.  I checked into it a little bit to the point of making sure he was buried with both objects. I had no idea what all of this meant until recently, I would like information as to his history and name he used. Anyway, if you would be so polite as to provide me with his date of membership and if I was correct in my steps upon his death.
