I want to share with you a story that made me really in a deep thinking while I’m standing between Freemasonry in the East and West :
It was clear to me from my many conversations with a (very Senior Arab Masons) in the Middle East, that prophet Enoch is a main figure key in the original Masonic practices which took place Here in the Arabic countries by the Turkish and Syrians Masons , Who’s were the pioneers of Freemasonry in our area since The nineteenth century, Before we get to the sad situation about Freemasonry these days.
I was told that a lot of (Enoch references) was deleted from many rituals and Masonic practices in the middle east and the west also , and it is (As they put it) become one of the major differences between Freemasonry in the Arab world and with the West ( For clarification , Enoch is a real truth , and Now turning to the Tale of Enoch or the legend of Enoch , Whether in the Scottish or the York rite , And that many of the practices becomes now start from King Solomon Era) .
In this context, I should point out (For only the idea , not raise the issue of religion ) that Enoch is known in Islam as prophet idris (the man of the Truth), as well as David Isaac, Jacob and King Solomon the prophets, And what the Masonic rituals clears about Enoch legend, including raising him to heavens Alive, is something confirmed by Islam which cleared that Enoch is a old Prophet - the third on the earth - , & the first who put the foundations of writing and a lot of science and astronomy, he is also the first who put the idea of cities, and in general, the teachings of Prophet Enoch or Idris directed the path of faith and humanity and civilizations from the beginning .
So How did the Masonic rituals since 1717 Deals with Enoch Especially the cryptic masonry , Because believe me, according to old & Veteran Freemasons here (50 years and so) , Enoch was a main path & something major in the Masonic practices Which was applied by the internationally Recognized Syrian and Egyptian grand lodges at that time.
I thought that it appropriate to brief the forum about this matter because I found this very important and it may not related with regular/ Irregular practices issue, because Enoch is there , But may be considered in a different ways.
