Many people have asked about the Open House on Saturday, October 13.

All Masonic Lodge buildings in Massachusetts will be open to the public for our “Square and Compasses Day” from 9am to 3pm.

That means ANYONE can come. Feel free to bring fathers, sons, wives, girlfriends, mothers, and even kids. Many of the rooms can be impressive—and would certainly be memorable (and fully appropriate) for children.

Last year, we even had mothers show up alone, saying they would like to find out how their sons could exposed to the potential “greatness” they heard about on the radio.

Some Masonic buildings have more than one Lodge that meets there (some, like the Grand Lodge Building in Boston, have many). If you are interested in Masonry, or just want to see what it’s all about, feel free to stop by. Representatives from every Lodge will be available to answer your questions, give tours, and discuss membership.

Dress: Casual dress is fine. Though Masons tend to be a little more formal in their attire when attending their monthly meetings—for the Open House most Masons there will probably be dressed in either a sport coat and tie or polo shirt and khakis. (Though a few may come in their tuxedos and masonic regalia....)

Guests should feel free to dress comfortably. If it’s hot, even shorts are fine.
