Greetings Brothers,

I am still (obviously) new to the craft.
My quick question here is…

Is the Lodge of Instruction also an open house?
Meaning may I bring or invite a family member or
loved one to attend?

No.  At least not here in NY anyway.  A LOI is for Masons only.

Hm.

It is interesting and wonderful
to see how each state is different
when it comes to the Craft.
In all portions of it.

What about in Massachusetts?

In my limited experience, most LOIs in Massachusetts are Masons Only with the exception of the Installation of LOI Officers when family is invited to witness the ceremony. Some say that it also gives the family a chance to actually see their husband or father for a change ;) Masonry’s only one night a month, right?

Thank you for the response

This clears up the remaining confusion I had.
