Hello, Brothers.  Well, I did it.  After receiving my EA in October, FC in November, I was raised to a MM this past Monday night.  A great degree.  Impressive and special.  Even more, my grandfather, who hasn’t been to the lodge in about 20 years due to health reasons, was able to be there for it.  Additionally, a church member of mine and the grandfather of my high school sweetheart heard I was being raised and came as well.  There were seven different lodges represented at my third degree, two Past Grand Masters of the state of Tennessee and the current Grand Lecturer of the state.  It was an extreme honor to have so many great men and Masons present and a humbling experience.  I have never been around such a great and respectable group of men.  Aside from the Church, the lodge is the best organization I have ever been a part of.  Also, I was installed as Senior Steward in our lodge following the degree.  I may be rambling without a point but just wanted to share my experience of that night which I will never forget.  It has been an extremely great journey.  Learning my lectures, watching degrees, getting to know the brothers and bettering myself as an individual has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life (aside from my baptism in my Church).  I look forward to the lifelong journey of being a Master Mason.

Fraternally,

Brent Harris

I add my congratulations. What a cast of characters!! Remember one thing, the MM degree is a beginning! More wonderful experiences and memories are ahead of you. I will give you one piece of advice. I encourage you to obtain a “Masonic passport”, so that you can keep a record of your Masonic career, and the lodges that you visit.
