Celebrating the 75th Masonic Anniversary, Most Worshipful Donald Warren Vose

Past Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Lodge of Masons in Massachusetts, USA.

On June 5th, 2008, Masons far and wide honored the living legacy of M.W. Donald Warren Vose, now firmly in his 90’s.

Brother Don Vose petitioned Columbian Lodge in Boston and was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason in June 1933. Quickly moving through the officer roles at the lodge, he ultimately became Master of the Lodge. Over the past 75 years as serving the Craft, his legacy is extensive: Receiving the 33 Degree, the Henry Price medal, Commander in Chief of Consistory, Many Mass. Grand Officer roles, District Deputy, Grand Representative to Brazil and then to South Dakota, Emminet Commander of St Bernard Commandery #12, then Grand Commander of Knights Templar of Mass & RI, ultimately he was elected the Grand Master of Masons in Mass. in 1973 ( the honor of being the third highest ranking Mason in the World). During his Grand Master years he travelled the world, laid cornerstones for museum and library, honored by Brother, the honourable Gerald Ford, President of the United States. He served leading roles in the Shriners, York Rite and Scottish Rite, his church and the Salvation Army and Charities. Today he continues to serve the craft and humanity with equal vitality.
M.W. Donald Warren Vose can serve the example of a Great Mason.

How about Most Worshipful Paul Revere. Brother Revere was the man who warned the militia of the impending British attack. His famous ride is what start the Revolutionary War. He was also a Grand Master for our Grand Lodge in Massachusetts. If there is one thing that I love about Freemasonry it is the history and to have all these great founders of our nation associated with our Fraternity. Not to mention having them serve in our Grand Lodge.

We will always remember Brother Revere’s ride and the victory for America that followed it.
