I live in S. California and have an interest in becoming a Freemason.  I am 50 years old and have belonged to several other fraternal and civic organizations over the years.  I have even been president of one.
Please let me know what steps I need to take to become more informed.  I have scoured the internet and learned some things from it.

Freemasonry has been in California, ever since John C. Fremont. Members of the Donner Party, were Freemasons.

Remember, you will not be asked or invited to join Freemasonry, the decision must be yours alone. If you decide that wish to petition (apply) for Freemasonry, just send me a PM, and I will help you locate a lodge in your neighborhood. Then you can meet with some local Freemasons, and begin the process.
