Greetings,

I had some questions that I wanted to put towards a mason. My family comes from Belarus and a lot of my family were upper class and masons before the communists took power. It goes back in my family line for a few generations. You see the problem is that everyone that had contacts with masonry has died. My mothers brother died a few years back when I was still fairly young and he was the last one with connections to the tradition. I want to join the masons but don’t have anymore contacts. Will my family history help me join in the tradition? I am also apart of another group called the Golden Dawn; will this hinder me being allowed to get into masonry?

Thanks

Borya

Masonry is quite active all over Russia, and the Commonwealth of Independent States. There are lodges in Belarus. Each individual candidate for Masonry, is admitted to the Craft on his own merits. There is no requirement, for any family connection, or to have any family members in Masonry.

I suggest that you send me a PM, with your email address, and your contact information including your address and telephone number. I can have the Deputy grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of Russia, contact you, and help you locate a lodge in Minsk, or elsewhere in Belarus.

Membership in other organizations is not considered in your application.

NO problem at all, in fact it is very simple to petition a Florida lodge. Just send me a PM, with your name address, phone, email, and I will locate a lodge in your neighborhood, and you can join there. Here is the website for the Grand Lodge of Florida:
