You have great morals and values. Why such weird rituals?

Also is the pyramid displayed on the American one dollar bill with a shining eye on the tip associated with the Freemasons? If so what does it mean to your brotherhood and is there a connection between yours and the meaning of it for the United States?

What does your symbol with the measuring tools forming a diamond shape with a G in the center mean?

The Square and Compasses are symbols that remind us to subdue our passions and keep them within due bounds (The compasses) and to Square our actions. It is basically a symbol of restraint, fairness, and honesty. The letter G is not universally used with the Square and Compasses but it represents God and Geometry.

It is two tools used in architecture.  The square and the compasses.  Also in the United States and in Scotland (but rarely in other countries), there is a G in the middle.

The square is a tool used to ensure things are “square”, at 90 degree angles.  It reminds us to be “fair and square” in our dealings with all mankind.

The compasses are a tool used to make a circle, and it reminds us to respect the boundaries we have set for ourselves and respect the boundaries important to society.

The G in the middle can refer to Geometry and also to God.

No, there is no connection between Freemasonry and the symbols on the dollar bill, except that both reference the eye of God.  Here is a page written all about that topic:

Do the Masons have knowledge that they in part on members as they climb the degrees of the pyramid?

Each degree has lessons that build upon the previous one.
So, in that way yes, but if you are referring to ancient secrets or knowledge of power, then no. Those are available to anyone who is willing to do the research.

OK, all.  I think this thread has run its course.  It was posted a year ago, and the original poster is no longer active.
