Some wonderful news was shared at our Lodge last night. One of our members has just been nominated to the 33rd degree in Scottish Rite Masonry. I was looking at gold pins to get for him as a present and saw two versions of the 33rd degree pin, one with wings up and the other with wings down. I and the new 33rd are Massachusetts Masons so he would be in the Northern Jurisdiction. Which would be the correct pin for him, wings up or down?
I must respectfully disagree. Two of the world’s worst beers are made in Pennsylvania, in breweries quite near each other. One is Rolling Rock, which tastes like watery swill, the other is Iron City, which tastes like they soak sash weights in it. A case of Samuel Adams would be more like it.

I don’t disagree that Rolling Rock is horse urine. I brew my own beer. I STILL think ts a great gift, given the circumstances.

This was my point. I don’t drink the stuff myself. Doesn’t taste like beer to me.

The Master of my Lodge is an accomplished home brewer so any commercial beer pales in comparison to his fine offerings. If you ever get the chance to try his barley wine, it may change your life.
The point is the 33 on the bottle, not what’s in it :)
