Hello, new to the forum.  My grandfather was a long time Shriner, and my father gave me his ring.  I do not see any Mason symbols on it, but most of the symbols are religious in nature.  Does anyone have any clue if this ring is somehow related to the Masons??

Thanks for the help…

BTW - the third photo is a touch blurred, but it is the crossed swords (pointed downward) and shield.

It doesn’t have any Craft Lodge symbols that I can make out. I am not a Shriner, though. It may have something to do with York Rite but again, I’m not a member.

Interesting…

May I ask a couple of questions, please? The ring may not be Masonic and, even if it is, some things tend to be ‘geographic’ in nature.

What was your grandfather’s family name?

Where did he live?

Did he go to university? If so, do you know where?

Doubtful it is Masonic.  The crest with the Griffin on the front looks like possibly family crest of some sort.
Not sure about the soldier on the side.  Could be a mascot?

I would bet money that there is no Masonic affiliation.

Doesn’t seem York Rite to me.  I’d venture to guess it is either family or school related.
