I finally got an emial from my state grand lodge. They said they will schedule a phone interview with me closer to the end of the month. I’m very happy about this! But I’m also very nervous.
Is there any advice any one may have? Anything to comes to mind. I don’t want to make a fool of myself. I want to present myself in my best light.

Hey I met with the secretary of my local lodge and filled out the application for initiation, it has been 10 days since the application was dropped off so I know how you feel brother. Best of luck on you journey.

Uncertainty and nervousness are things every Mason has gone through at your stage of the game, gentlemen.

Advice? Relax, tell the truth, don’t be afraid to ask questions yourself.

Good luck to both of you.

It has been said many times, patience is the first lesson of Freemasonry.

Just received my email (from the secretary) this morning. The lodge had their monthly meeting last night my application was accepted and I meet with the investigative committee on Thursday night! Feels great.

The goal here is to make friends….it really is.  In the end, the lodge members will decide if they want to be REALLY good friends with you…so approach it as if you were making a new friend.
