I am wondering why when I visit the grand lodge of ny state or call the prince hall grand lodge I’m told I need to know a mason already? I want to put in a petition. I need some advice on how to go about this. I live in NYC and it’s FULL of bogus lodges who are trying to suck up as many unsuspecting people as possible. I learned, through my reasearch, of these bogus lodges and now I know the real ones. I really would like to know from anybody in Ny how I can put in a petition. I need light to guide me. I’m kneeling at the steps, I just need help through the door.

Find out when their monthly meet ups are and go and introduce yourself. They will be able guide you through the process—just remember to make sure that it is a regularly constituted lodge and not a clandestine lodge! Best of luck to you.

What Squared said. Go online, find a lodge listed on the the website for either of those two grand lodges (that way, you’ll know it’s a regular lodge) and drop by on a meeting night.

I think you’ve been told the answer to this question before in your other post. Do you actually read the responses?
