I was a 32nd degree mason when I was 30y/o, I am 58 now.  I have not been involed nor paid dues at all through the years.  How do I go about being reinstated in each lodge?  I will I have to pay back dues for all the years.  Any insight would be appreciated.

thanks

Hey John

One of the purposes of our “ad” efforts has been to perhaps reach Masons who may be in your situation. I think you’ll be surprised at how much excitement there is in the Lodges today. I assume you’re in Massachusetts, so I will touch base with Robert Huke at the Grand Lodge tomorrow and get you some information on reinstatement. If you’re not in Mass, you’ll want to check with the Grand Lodge of your state or country. It’s not as hard as you think, though you may have to be voted on again in any Lodges or appendant bodies.

Thanks for writing.

John-

Thank you for your email and your renewed interest in the Fraternity.

The Grand Secretary’s Office is the best resource to help you begin the process of becoming reinstated.  They can be reached at 617.426.6040, 800.882.1020 (in Massachusetts only), or .  Do not hesitate to touch base.  It will be our pleasure to help.

thank you...I should of mentioned that I am in NY....I have found my Blue Lodge, it moved, consolidation I guess.  Although I have not been invloved for many years (28) I have always thought of myself as a Mason.  A sense of pride/accomplishment i guess.  I will do what I do best..contact my Blue Lodge, announce I am back and I am sure I will be taken care of.  I will have to relearn make some friend again.  Looking forward to the Journey..

Once a Mason, always a Mason.  Regardless of your activity of “membership.” The Grand Secretary’s Office at the Grand Lodge of New York will be able to help you.
