Hello Brothers, I would like to get some opinions on a situation I am wrestling with.  I may have an opportunity to go through the Line at my Lodge, and really want to be Worshipful Master one day. But, about 9 years ago I went NPD for several reasons, and just reinstated last year.

What would your thoughts be abouth a Brother becoming WM who has once been suspended? Should mistakes in the past keep me from taking my Lodge into the future?

Thank you for your advice.

This should absolutely not be a problem. The fact you were once NPD should not affect your desire to progress through the line. What is important is that you are a part of the fraternity today and that you want to contribute. No one should have an issue with that. Good luck and enjoy the journey.

To be clear (since I actually spent time looking up NPD before I really thought about it and now I get it) NPD is most likely standing for Non Payment of Dues.

If I’m correct, welcome back and I doubt anyone would hold it against you.  The idea is to become better men.  None of us are perfect.  We’re just glad you’re back and active.
