Last night at the lodge, we had a practice session with the ritual. Instead of me being the Senior Steward, presenting the candidate to the door, the WM decided to let everyone “move up a chair” and he’ll watch, observe, and help out from the sidelines.
We opened a FC lodge, then closed a FC lodge, then went around the chairs rehearsing the ritual parts, line by line, piece by piece. What a great way to learn the ritual!
I learned the whole Junior Deacon section, what to do, how to carry the staff, etc..etc.. The lodge is going to make me the JD next year too!
