i have done extensive research on the free masons of old..............and i hear constantly on the radio ,,buzzing in my ear,,,about you......the masons......the brotherhood,,,the comroderie,,,,,the intellectual conversations and people i might meet....is this true?...are there people out there ,,,with SOME intelligence?.........i am an accomplished artist,,,published poet,,,certified chef,,and owner of 2 companies in new hampshire....i work harder and play harder than anyone one i know.....and i did this by 29........recently turning 31,,,,i’m realizing,,,,there has to be more..........are you are what you say you are?......should i ,,or even can i join,,,,in search of something great........i have made it here allready,,,and now,,,i would like to spread my well being to others...........someone please respond,,,and tell me what you are all “REALLY” about...........sincerely,,,adrian davis....artis,,painter,,intellectual ,,,and a damn good cook to boot..........a

Wow, to tackle all of that in this little block of text would be quite a feat!  I’ll try to give you the best guidance I can, but I think a lot of the answers you seek would come from meeting with local Masons face-to-face.  To start I can tell you that any man who is of legal age, believes in a higher power, and is of good moral character may become a Freemason.

As for the intelectual conversation, comraderie, etc., there is certainly plenty of that in abundance to be found in Masonic Lodges, and the more of it that you put in, the more you get out.  The greatest reason that I have heard many men enjoying Freemasonry is that they feel like they are part of something big, something historical, and something that matters in their community.  Freemasonry is all this, and affords each brother the opportunity to get as involved as much or as little as they want.
