We would not have that information here on this website (I don’t believe...) Perhaps, the best way to get that information is to contact the Grand Secretary’s office at the Grand Lodge in Boston (617) 426-6040. If you have a specific name and years of birth and death, that would also be helpful.
The Grand Lodge Librarian, Cynthia Alcorn, can help you with requests for information about whether someone was a Massachusetts Mason, or not. At a minimum, she will need the individual’s name, and the approximate years of his life. A place of birth and town/city of residence are also helpful.
Is there a list of members who attended lodges, specifically in the Concord area? I am looking to see if there are any Hawthorne’s.
We see more and more people who are interested in becoming Masons because they found out their grandfather or even great grandfather was a Mason. I know of some who, after becoming a Mason, was able to find old attendance records of the lodge that their ancestor attended. After searching the records they actually found where their ancestor attended on a specific evening and even signed the book. They then made nice photo copies of the signed page and framed them. I always thought this was a great idea.
